During the Easter holiday, AES hosted a Karaoke Singing Competition for 150 overseas students in Melbourne. The event was held in the popular Gold Band Karaoke Restaurant in the Melbourne suburb Box Hill. Students from different TAFE Colleges, Universities, Institutes and High Schools were invited to the function. AES sponsored FREE Admission, Food and Non-alholoic drinks for all. As well there were FREE gifts including three i-pods and many more. Twevel finalist contestants competed for the first prize of a FREE air-ticket to any Asian location from Australia. The ticket finally went to Mr. Li who is currently studying a Master of Accounting in Swinburne University.
